Hearse Design

Allison/Monkhouse - ALLONGE GSB

LC Engineering, in cooperation with Transport Design International (TDi) and TJ Andrews Funerals, provided mechanical design and vehicle certification for the Allonge BF Falcon Hearse.

LC Engineering led the engineering design required to turn the Falcon ute chassis into a hearse with input from Graeme Sheahan - former senior Ford Australia engineer.

LC Engineering developed the processes, working procedures, material standards, testing and quality assurance requirements to bring together the functional requirements of TJ Andrews Funerals and the vehicle styling of TDi. 3D CAD was used extensively by LC Engineering, to develop the extended chassis and to convert the TDi designs into tooling for the glass and vehicle canopy.

LC Engineering, as a registered Road Vehicle Certification Scheme Licensee, provided certification for the hearse to the Australian Design Rules and Identification Plate approval for use in all Australian states.
